On-Line

FTP Access

FTP (File Transfer Protocal) is a simple method for sending large files to Instant Impressions for printing. Once you have your files packaged for submision if the final file size is over 10MB you will most likely have to use FTP or YouSendIt to submit your files to us.

There are several free programs you can use to access our FTP site, the two we recommend most are:

  • FileZilla (Windows): is an open source application, which means it is freely distributed and available for free download. Please visit the FileZilla help page for more information on installing and using.
  • CyberDuck (Apple): is an open source application, which means it is freely distributed and available for free download. Please visit the CyberDuck help page for more information on installing and using.

Once you have your FTP Client program installed you will need the Instant Impressions FTP login information from your local office. Please send an e-mail to your local office requesting the FTP login information. In your e-mail please include you company name, and a description of the job you are submitting.

We will respond with the required server address, and login information.

E-Mail

E-Mail is the most common way to submit files, and a requirement even when you use a alternative method of file submissions.

When submitting a job please be sure to always send an detailed e-mail to let us know you are sending us a job. Be sure to include your company name and job description including full specs for the job.

Most e-mail services only allow you to send up approximately 10MB files via e-mail. If your files are larger than that please consider using one of the alternatives discussed here.

YouSendIt

YouSendIt.com is a free online service that allows you to send huge files to anyone with an e-mail address, and access to the web. You upload your large file to them, then they e-mail the link to that large file to your recipient. They can then download that file directly.

The lite account is free, and is a hassle free way to submit large files. Please visit YouSendIt.com for more information.
